In a perfect world, every vehicle that we service here at Genesis of Wilkes-Barre would be a matter of preventative maintenance rather than a major problem that occurred because the owner put off their regular service schedule for too long.
For that reason, we love when National Car Care Month rolls around each year because it gives our Genesis service department an excellent opportunity to remind drivers about some of the most important services a vehicle may need to keep working at peak condition for as long as possible.
Top Service Items for National Car Care Month
The following is a look at some of the most common service items that we can provide to help keep Genesis vehicles running smoothly:
- Oil Changes – Easily the most common type of service, this should occur according to the mileage limits in your vehicle handbook (usually once every 5,000 to 10,000 miles). If you haven't been driving often and it's been more than six months since your last service, come on in.
- Tire Checks – If the tread on your tires has worn out, you may want to consider a new set of tires to improve fuel efficiency and control in wet conditions.
- Hoses and Belts – Any rubber component inside your vehicle can eventually go bad, so we’ll check for cracks and wear and make replacements as necessary.
- Fluid Checks – If you’re low on any fluid—wiper fluid, brake fluid, transmission fluid, etc.—we can top them off or flush and replace them entirely.
